New Book!

Just started this book by Priscilla Shirer and already it's blowing me away! I'll let you know how it goes and whether or not I would recommend it... so far I would say yes it's a must read! For those of you that know me well you know I'm not a big reader... but as you can see by the blog, I'm trying to get better!

Heaven is For Real

I just finished reading this book "Heaven is for real" by Todd Burpo... The true story about his son was amazing... if you haven't read it, I would definitely recommend that you check out a copy for yourself! It has really gotten me thinking more and more about Heaven and what it will be like someday... Along with introducing me to this photo of Jesus that was painted by a little girl names Akiane Kramarik!

Bryant Nicholas Gilkey

At 12:07 am on August 12, 2011 the Gilkey family got another little family member... welcome to the family little baby cousin Bryant!

Almost of a year of being an Aunt...

I must say after only 8 months of being an aunt and 2 months of being an aunt of two... I think I'm in love! I love being an aunt and getting to spoil these two precious baby girls!

Choosing to See

I just finished reading this book this week... it's taken a while because occasionally I would pick it up and start reading, then start crying and have to put the book down. I finally made it through just yesterday and I must say, as tragic as it was, this is a great story!

Lots of changes...

Summer 2011 has been crazy busy! We have been busy with all the new activities at our new church (LifePoint Church or you can find us at www.findthepoint.net )... We also spent almost 2 weeks in Florida! And just as school was about to start and get my job going again we found a new apartment! I must say this is a great time in life... we are finally in a place were we can worship in freedom, we have found a new awesome place to live, and God is continuing to do great things in our lives! Now hopefully I will be able to find more time to update you all on life more often!
