Deja Vu

This morning I as I was putting on my lotion... the smell of it gave me Deja Vu really bad. Which is funny considering the lotion is called "Deja Vu Passions" - the lotion I was convinced to buy while in the mall on our honeymoon. This took me back to one of the best weeks of my life... oh the honeymoon (no I'm not going into honeymoon details). During this week I felt worry free... I just married a wonderful man, I was off work for a week, and we both were going back to (not perfect) but alright jobs. Then on that Friday (Oct 17...) Garrett got the dreaded call from his boss which ended up in him getting laid off. I think its a little strange that I get this Deja Vu exactly three months from the night that we first talked about moving here. Now here I was standing in the bedroom, getting ready to go to the movies, and worrying about where our next job will be. I guess we are never promised that life will be easy, because honestly these past three months have been far from easy. I just wish I knew what was next. The same feelings I had months ago... Deja Vu... maybe... Or maybe God's telling me that it's going to be ok! I can hope and pray that He will provide what's coming next, because He knows Garrett and I can't do it on our own! So... friends... keep us in your prayers!

Bride Wars...

So... I convinced my wonderful husband to go to see the new movie Bride Wars with me. He's such a trouper! I must say a lot goes into the wedding planning process and I'm so glad that nothing like this happened to me! I would recommend this movie... however ONLY if you are a fan of chick flicks... Garrett might not recommend it... even though I heard him tell his mom it was "pretty good."

Happy Birthday Janna!

Happy Birthday to the mother of these beautiful baby girls! They are changing so much... you may remember them from months ago when I asked you to pray for these newborns... but now they are growing and growing! I miss them sooo much! I just wish I could squeeze those chubby little cheeks!!!

Future Mr. and Mrs. James Grant Gilkey

Well Guys, I'm proud to announce that I will finally have a little sister! My brother-in-law Grant proposed to his girlfriend Elise on Saturday night as an early Birthday present! They went shopping then through the park that was all lit up with Christmas lights and they got out of the car and he proposed in a gazebo there! Then the whole family as well as her family met at Whalers Catch to celebrate with a huge delicious meal! Needless to say... Garrett and I are very excited for them! I can't wait to have another girl in this side of the family!

Gilkey... Now that's a Funny Name...

Oh Wait... its Officially my new name! I know what you're thinking... "I never thought she would blog again." However I have been considering blogging about the recent wedding... well recent if you consider 1 month ago recent. And there have been some changes in my life since then, so upon request here I am sitting at the computer blogging yet again.

Alright, first things first. I finally got married. You know after all the summer weddings and fall weddings as well I never thought my day would ever come... but it has come and gone and I must say.... It was WONDERFUL!!!

Then, there was an even more amazing honeymoon in Florida! It was nice to get away for a while and forget about all our troubles and to relax after the stresses of preparing a wedding!

Then after marriage and the honeymoon comes real life right??? Well real life came at us real fast. Turns out while we were gone they laid off people at Gare's work and well he was one of the chosen few. To make a long story short just two weeks after the wedding we were packing up things from Campbellsville and moving to a new town... well a new town for me! We have now moved into or should I say settled into a new home in Western KY. It's just a few short miles from The rest of the Gilkey family and its nice to be closer to home. However... we are still job searching... which is frustrating, exciting, and full of new possibilities... all of this being said... Keep us Newly Weds in your Prayers!

There you go... a new post! Hopefully there will be more to come. With house pictures when we get the camera ready for them... and new job experiences as well. Good night everybody!

Pray for Babies!

Well... I have two friends that have had a baby and are in the process of having babies... and they all need your prayers! Sarah Day (actaully now it would be Sarah Shelton) is a friend I graduated with who just had a baby boy earlier today... he was suppose to be due in early November but to their surprise he came quite a bit early... please pray for them... little Caleb Ryan weighs 1 lb. and is surprisingly breathing on his own!

Janna Higgs on the other hand is still in the hospital trying to have Hallie and Hannah! Keep on praying for them... so far all are in good shape they are just waiting for the babies to come!
